I'll throw my weight behind Caesar. I think it's an under appreciated play. Just because it's easy to teach doesn't mean it's not as good as other plays. Plus, it stages really well.
As for LOTF vs, 1984, I'm going to have to go with Orwell's 1984 on that one. I just re-read the book for the first time in years, and it still seems as fresh as it did when I first read it.

Julius Caesar for me. A little because it's an amazing read and a little more because J.P. makes a handsome cover model.
